MISSING CUPS FROM IPS SOUTH LEINSTER / WATERFORD AREA
Carrickhill Sunbonnet
:
large silver cup presented to the champion show pony at IPS SLW Annual Show. Not seen since 2009. Presented by the late Billy Rackard and of great sentimental value to the area.
Culleton Insurances
:
large silver cup presented to champion Mountain & Moorland. Presented to Pascal Crawford on behalf of Robert Fallon in 2005/2006. Returned to the IPS Office for collection, but went to the IPS Championship Show at Cavan 2007 with other trophies, and was mistakenly presented to Cashel Bay Prince as champion Connemara, possibly in 2007/2008 or 2008/2009. It has not been seen since.
Joan MacAlpine Downie Memorial Plate
. Small solid silver octagonal plate presented to champion mini show pony at SLW Annual Show. Presented to Regina Daly in 2003 and supposedly returned via third party. No record of return to SLW and not seen since.
The above three are valuable trophies and the SLW committee are very anxious to ascertain their whereabouts. All known recipients have been contacted to no avail.
Deerfield Cup
: fluted pewter cup on wooden stand presented for side saddle champion. It was possibly presented on the last occasion the area held side saddle classes, possibly in 2008. This cup has sentimental value to the presenter, who wishes it to be returned.
If you have any clue as to the whereabouts of any of the above trophies, or have received them at any time please let us know so we can have a better chance of tracing them.
